Non-nurturing elements contribute to the development of Limiting Beliefs, which are beliefs that we hold about ourselves and the world that become part of our identity. In turn we develop dysfunctional needs, which act as a soothing buffer between ourselves and these beliefs. Understanding Limiting Beliefs and Dysfunctional Needs, and how they interact is paramount for delivering the protocol.
