The Shift Protocol is a two-part protocol for individual therapy, based on two well established psychological theories: cognitive behavioural therapy and Bilateral Stimulation. Following a traditional psychotherapeutic intake, which includes symptom identification, client history, goal setting and treatment planning, a quick and clean identification of global, limiting beliefs about the world and self is conducted in collaboration with the client. These beliefs are internalized during distressing experiences in the past.
